GrandCherokee ( Gerry );
I am from Chilliwack, BC. I've had a life long interest in the subject of Sasquatch but it has only been in the last number of years that Sasquatch has become a part of my ' daily ' life.
Aside from West Coast Sasquatch, I am also a member of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club!
I've met some facinating people while studying the Sasquatch, and I thought it would be good to hear the stories of other researchers, who live here in Western Canada, And perhaps they, in turn, like to know the story of other BC-ers who are working in the field?
So this site is for the curious for BC researchers, and those researchers located on the B.C border in Alberta and Washington State...
Recently we have begun our own investigations with full members, who will soon have their profiles appearing here!

Ken

Ken ( Hoss ) Kristian, a keen hunter and avid outdoorsman, also had a burning desire to find out as much as he could about the mysterious Sasquatch after reading many of the late J.W. Burn’s accounts about the illusive beast in the Vancouver Sun newspaper. If you know Hoss, there is no doubt his father Mike’s keen interest in Sasquatch — as well as his deep love and respect for the great outdoors and every living creature that calls it home — were passed down from father to son.
Hoss was also taken by his father to see the late Roger Patterson and his 1967 Bluff Creek, California film of a purported Sasquatch at New Westminster’s Massey Auditorium while Mr. Patterson toured North America. After viewing the Patterson/Gimlin film in New Westminster, British Columbia, Hoss has been admittedly hopelessly hooked on Sasquatch ever since.
Hoss is a former professional licensed guide, owner of Great Northern Hunting and Fishing Adventures, and an avid no-kill Sasquatch hunter/researcher who likes to think outside the box of today’s conventional research methods. In a hunter’s fashion he also prefers to quietly work, prepare and plan behind the scenes.
Hoss’ ultimate goal is to prove to the North American public through non-lethal filming that Sasquatch does indeed exist.

Thomas

Thomas Steenburg is the most tenacious and renowned Canadian investigator of the new Millennium!
Since the 1970's while living in Alberta Thomas begin his quest which would see him travel many a thousand miles in search of Sasquatch evidence. Eventually it brought him to where ( in his words ) "The answer has to be...!" , British Columbia, Canada.
Thomas's Land Rover can be seen on any given day anywhere in the province. There is seldom ' time off ' from the task for this ex-military man. Based in Mission, BC, his search area reaches from Washington State far into northern, British Columbia.
Thomas is a very kind hearted individual and yet a little reserved. Good qualities for a person who has to deal with many different kinds of people under the realization that any information he gets might lead him down a false path. But, despite this, a more genuine person you cannot find.
Thomas is often times a hard person to reach as reports of sightings keep him on the road for the most part. Even when a swipe from a grizzly's paw destroyed a perfectly good knapsack..Thomas and the knapsack did not stay treed for long! ( Well..long enough to make sure that the bear had truly gone on its way. *wink* )

Bill

Bill Miller has forgotten more about the wilderness surrounding Harrison Lake than many will ever know.
For many years he has scoured the countryside in his 6 wheel drive, following trails and paths seldom trod. As well as travelling the lake by boat.
He has a dogged determination tempered by a B.S meter which is seldom wrong! Bill has spent quite a deal of his own money in this persuit and is someone well worth listening to as he relates his experiences. For the past few years Thomas and Bill are in the Mountains around the lake and the Chahalis area almost daily, choking down dust and ready to repel grizzlies! It is an unforgiving area of incredible beauty and danger!

Sebastian

Sebastian Wang has been interested in the mystery of sasquatch/bigfoot for many years. However, he has begun seriously looking into the matter only for about a year or so.
He finished his undergraduate degree in archaeology from Simon Fraser University in 1994. During his undergraduate work in Bella Coola and Namu, he came across interesting information of the sasquatch from the First Nations of the area. " The First Nations people didn't talk about the question of existence, they talked about the ecology (of sasquatch)!" he explains.
Since then, he went on to study zooarchaeology in the U.K. Sebastian finished his postgraduate degree in University College London in 1997. During that time, he had the previlage to work on the Boxgrove material, an early hominid site (Homo heidelbergensis) dated back 500,000 b.p. Due to the fact that his study was closely connected to palaeoanthropology,
Sebastian is always interested in the questions of the evolutionary origin of the sasquatch. "I remebered that I finished Myra Shackely's book in a few hours...I was so interested in the subject." Sebastian joined the BCSCC last year. He is currently running a documentary project in mid-Harrison Lake and hoping to film one
. "The mystery of sasquatch, as well as other cryptids, is a one-way street since you can't proof the negative. Sometimes, I keep reminding myself not to underestimate the biological diversity and possibility."
